Sagraitalia is an exciting new concept in the promotion of Italian produce at small local markets and food events in London, the South East and East Anglia, whilst also promoting Italian fine food produced in the many varied Italian regions. Among the mainly organic produce on offer is extra virgin olive oil from Le Marche, Umbria and Sicily, pasta from the south of Italy, cheeses, proscuito, pastes and natural, organic and biodynamic wines as well as a host of other delicious products.  We hold Italian themed parties, cooking demonstrations and food events where you can savour the delights of Italian cuisine and lifestyle, as well as a chance to meet many of the producers in person. Sagraitalia works closely with specialist Italian food producers and wine importers so as to guarantee that we bring only the best produce of Italy to our events in the UK, and we have many of our events on show at our  You Tube  channel.


Italy evokes many senses.....its unparalleled architecture, art and culture, style, landscape and its exquisite food of course.  Italians take their food very seriously, so much so that they hold special food festivals or "Sagras", from spring through to autumn every year.  Sagre vary from village to village, town to town and region to region and of course the season.  The food is always authentic, fresh and cooked with passion and without doubt, a culinary speciality.    
Sagre take many forms from a spring sagra such as lamb and artichokes to fish, pasta, fruit and dessert festivals of summer which also include meat sagre, bistecca and wild boar.... to the wonderful taste of autumn with olive oil, mushroom and truffles, chestnuts, and wine of course.  All celebrating the earth's bounty through the seasons of the year. 
We hope to bring you a delicious slice of authentic Italian food sagre in the UK, focusing mainly on London, the home counties and the east of England. The associates involved in the sagre organised by Sagraitalia are mainly Italian and all of them are from very different regions of Italy, from Veneto in the north to Puglia in the south. This allows us to produce food and wine events which reflect the authentic flavours of Italy. diverse regions of Italy.


All the venues that Sagraitalia uses for events, dinners and parties are specially chosen by our associates to compliment fully the Italian theme for that occasion. Venues vary in size from small and friendly bars, deli's and tasting rooms through to large barns holding seating over 120 people and restaurants, with function rooms catering for up to 200.

Sagraitalia works closely with many very talented chefs, wine importers, cheese retailers and party organisers to make sure that our  sagra are truly memorable occasions. Some of our most successful and fun events and evenings were held at such different venues as the Market Quarter in Elizabeth St, Belgravia,London, Creake Abbey Studios Barns in Burnham Market, Norfolk and The Studio in Hackney, London. Other venues include the FARM shop in Dalston, London, Market Bistro in Kings Lynn, Norfolk, The Hive in Hampstead, London, The Forum in Norwich, St Benedicts restaurant, Norwich and Browns Farm shop and Kitchen , Mundford, Norfolk.

We are always on the look out for suitable new venues and recently we have also been co operating with a wonderful new Hotel in the Le Marche region of Italy, Essentia Relais near Marina di Montemarciano just north of Ancona. Sagraitalia will be offering more food and wine events, which also include large parties at wonderful locations throughout London, the East of England and also in Italy in 2012 and beyond.

One of the venues in Italy that Sagraitalia is using for our Italian based events in 2014 and beyond is the beautiful Castello di Monterado. The Castello is located just north of the Le Marche regions capital city of Ancona, the hotel being situated between the Adriatic resort of Senigallia and near the beautiful village of Monterado.

The Castello di Monterado offers its visitors and guests a truly memorable experience and is owned and run by Orlando who with his staff provide a very high standard of service. The whole feel and ambience of the Castello is of elegance and luxury and decorated throughout in a relaxed style. There are several luxury suites and also meeting and a function rooms room offering businesses a complete service, as well as fantastic facilites for weddings and parties. In 2014 Sagraitalia has organised along with Festivaldegusto the prestigious food and wine event at the Castello. We also hope to offer further outstanding events at this beautiful venue in Le Marche, as well as offering our clients special offers on holidays, tours and visits to the Le Marche region.


Olivaverde with Sagraitalia are also pleased to be working with many 

Farmers markets and organic food shops in the east of England and 

London to bring the great local food and fine olive oil from the lesser

 known regions of Italy to a wider public in the UK. This also includes

 starting a new Slow Food convivium in the East of England to 

promote locally produced food and hope that this will also allow us to

 hold many food orientated events and cookery demonstrations in 

some great venues. 

As well as offering fine extra virgin olive oil and pasta from Italy and other parts of the Mediterranean region, Olivaverde, can now offer olive oil and wine appreciation tours, cookery courses and culinary holidays in four very different regions of Italy, Le Marche, Umbria, Tuscany and Puglia.   Furthermore, clients would have the chance to meet our Italian friends and producers who provide all these wonderful products and enable them to experience first hand the hospitality, knowledge and love of fine extra virgin olive oils, wines and pasta.

The first real Italian Sagra to be held in Suffolk will be hosted at the Elveden Estate in Suffolk by Sagraitalia and Festivaldelgusto in August 2014. The event will be in aid of the Ormiston Trust childrens charity and Lord Iveagh of Elveden has generously offered part of the estate to the charity in order to hold this prestigious event.

Elveden is the home of the Iveagh family and Lord Iveagh is the head of the famous Guinness family and is very active in the local community and also in the support of charitable causes close to his heart. The estate at over 10,000 acres is one of the biggest estates in private hands the UK and is world famous for its architectural and agricultural heritage.

Ormiston Trust is based in East Anglia and supports children whose parent are currently in prison, by mentoring them and offering a wide range of support services. Sagraitalia was approached by the charity and asked to organise a fundraising event in support of the charity and we are very pleased to be helping such a worthwhile cause. We are working closely with Slow Food Norwich and the Festivaldelgusto organisations to promote and host a really spectacular and memorable event at this beautiful venue this summer.


We are excited to be holding our second Festivaldelgusto along with Sagraitalia on the 27th and 28th of September 2014 at the Castello di Monterado near the Adriatic resort of Senigallia. It will be a the second occasion at which to meet small artisan producers from the Le Marche region and to taste some typical food, wine and olive oil from this very beautiful and unspoilt part of Italy.
Sagraitalia and Festivaldelgusto events are primarily a celebration of small ethical producers of food, wine and olive oil producers in Italy These events aim to bring together producers, consumers and also trade representatives in an informal atmosphere to network and learn more about the produce that is available from them. 
The Senigallia Festival will be one of a series of food and wine events to take place in Italy, Malta and the UK in 2014. The other Festivals will include an event in Mundford,Norfolk, another near Swaffham, Norfolk, one in Elveden, Norfolk with others in the Italian regions of Puglia and Umbria as well as a small taster event in Mgarr, Malta in the late summer.
The Senigallia event will commence at 4:30pm and will be allowing one hour for our guests to arrive and introduce themselves over a drink. At around 5.30 there will be a small introduction about the Festival and its main aims and purposes with a small presentation from our guests and hosts with a short description of the evening.

This will be followed the next day by a tutored olive oil tasting which will be run by two of the oil producers that will be attending the Festival. There will then be a workshop about how to correctly taste olive oil  with three or four different varieties to taste that morning. Later there will be talks and presentations by some of the producers and after this there will be lunch in the local olive groves accompanied by traditional music.

We have some exciting news literally from the grapevine......That Sagraitalia is now working closely with Vinitours  who are based in London, Senigallia and Todi in Italy to provide our clients and our Sagra events with some of the best wines available from Italy.  Vinitours orginially based in Todi in the Umbria region of Italy, now also in the UK.  Vinitours aims to provide some of the best bespoke wine and olive oil tours in central Italy and to promote in the UK some of the best wines from both Le Marche, Umbria and Tuscany.
One of their aims is to promote small artisan producers of natural, biodynamic and organic wines which also includes a wonderful range  exciting new wines  from both Le Marche and Umbria and to add new wines from small artisan producers to their constantly expanding range.
Vinitours has worked closely with Sagraitalia for some time, including hosting a large Sagra in Norfolk, and wine tastings and food events in both London and Norwich. Sagraitalia are pleased to have been able to use Vinitours and Olivaverde at some of the events we hosted in 2011 and 2012 and are continuing our co operation with them in 2013 and beyond.
