The Le Marche wine tasting event in Belgravia last Tuesday proved to be a very popular evening with many of the attendees requesting that we hold further similar events over the next year. Originally scheduled to finish at 8pm it was so popular that the tasting did not finish until closer to 10pm. Plans for a tasting of wines from Abruzzo, wines from Umbria and also wines from Puglia are now well in hand and we hope to host our next tasting in early May 2011.
Having spoken with many of the people who attended the wine tasting in Elizabeth Street last week, we have now brought forward our plans to hold organic olive oil tastings and workshops in London and Norwich. There are very few such tastings and workshops available in the UK and we hope to be able to host four or five of these events in 2011, mostly in London and one in Norwich at the Forum or at another suitable venue.
Where possible we hope to have the Italian artisan producers present at both the wine and also the olive oil tastings and workshops. Many of the producers have been asked if they would like to attend and we now have some of the very best artisans willing to come to the UK to talk about their wonderful products.
