The Le Marche evening that was held at St Benedicts restaurant in Norwich on the 25th January was a great success and proved very popular. All the tickets were sold many weeks before the event and there were 48 guest present to try the wines from Le Marche as well as a typical Italian rustic meal prepared by Nigel from Raffles restaurants.

Le Marche evening in Norwich

Sagraitalia will be holding a special Le Marche evening in Norwich on Wednesday 25th January, in co operation with Slow Food Norwich and Raffles restaurants.
The evening will be featuring wines from the Le Marche region of eastern Italy and a menu of dishes which are typical of that beautiful Italian region. We at Sagraitalia were lucky enough to visit the newly refitted and refurbished Essentia Relais Hotel in Marina di Montemarciano in the beautiful Italian region of Le Marche last week.

The Market Quarter and FARM shop Olive oil workshops

Last week Sagraitalia held a series of workshops and tastings in London and Norwich of various olive oils  from Italy and the Island of Gozo. Andrea Tommasetti from the Frantoio Montedoro situated in the region of Le Marche in eastern Italy was in the UK for a week and he tutored the various groups who were present at these very popular events.

Montedoro Olive Oil Tasting in London

Andrea Tomasetti from the Azienda Montedoro near Senigallia in Le Marche will be in the UK for 10 days from the 5th September and will be holding workshops and tastings in London, Norwich and Cambridge during his visit.
There are two tastings planned in London, the first on Wednesday 7th September at the FARM in Dalston a local community based project which holds many popular food related events and the second on Thursday 8th September at the Market Quarter Delicatessen in Elizabeth St SW1.

Le Marche wine tasting event.

The Le Marche wine tasting event in Belgravia last Tuesday proved to be a very popular evening with many of the attendees requesting that we hold further similar events over the next year. Originally scheduled to finish at 8pm it was so popular that the tasting did not finish until closer to 10pm.
Plans for a tasting of wines from Abruzzo, wines from Umbria and also wines from Puglia are now well in hand and we hope to host our next tasting in early May 2011.

Market Quarter, Belgravia Wine Tasting

The latest wine tasting held by Sagraitalia is being held on Tuesday 29th March at the Market Quarter, 36 Elizabeth Street, London SWI. The evening starts at 6.30 and finishes at 9pm and has proved to be very popular with all the tickets being sold out soon after they became available.

Organic Wine from Le Marche

Many of the small artisan wine makers in southern Le Marche produce wonderful wines which are never tasted and experienced outside of their immediate area. A lot of care and hard work is put into the production of the wines and the producers have a real passion for their wines and the areas in which they are produced.

Sagraitalia is currently planning to hold a tasting of a selection of wines from the Le Marche region of Italy at a fabulous new venue in Elizabeth Street in the Belgravia area of north London in the last week of March 2011. The wines will be from four of the best wine producers in Le Marche and will be accompanied by a typical Le Marche antipasti.
