Sagraitalia was involved in organising an Italian Sagra evening at Creake Abbey Barns in north west Norfolk last Friday night and it proved to be a popular event with nearly 80 guests present that evening.
A Sagra is an Italian food and drink event normally based around one type of food or drink and normally each village and town has a different food theme, such as a particular type of food or drink, lamb, pork, mussels, beer etc.

Sagraitalia has had close links with the Cantina Villa Sobrano in Umbria for several years and is pleased that we now can supply their wonderful white Grechetto wine for our clients and at events in London and the east of England. Villa Sobrano is a small artisan wine producer located near the beautiful city of Todi and they produce a range of excellent red and white wines.

It has been all go this week with plans for another three separate food events finally taking shape. 
Olive oil producer Andrea Tomasetti will now be holding a workshop with tastings at the Pulse Bar and Cafe in Norwich in September as well as three other events he will be hosting in London while on his visit to the UK.

The Sagra at the Forum in Norwich is now on Saturday 16th April and will be held in Theatre plain next the to main Forum  building.
Several local Norfolk food producers will have stalls there as well as a small number of Italian Artisan farmers with their Olive oil and pasta from the Le Marche, Umbria and Basilicata regions of Italy.
Browns earth shop near Swaffham will also be present at this event and this will be the start of an exciting year of shows and events for this new venture.

It has been a busy few weeks for us at Sagraitalia and at last we are in a position to start booking venues for our exciting Autumn and Winter food and Italian events in London and eastern England.  In early October there will be an Italian style Festa and Sagra in Hackney in east London and this has already roused a lot of interest from local residents and businesses as well as our many friends who wish to attend.
